About

About me:

Welcome. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and have a look at my site.

I am a multimedia journalist originally from the UK but currently based in Hong Kong.

I specialize in producing features (both for print and broadcast) and I have contributed to publications which include: Forbes.com, ABC News, The South China Morning Post, CNNGO.com, The Telegraph, The Jakarta Globe, the Economist Intelligent Unit, Time Out Hong Kong and the NileGuide.

I am passionate about travel, the great outdoors, history, people and politics. I have written on a wide range of topics - from profiling CEOs to eyebrow waxing (slightly less high brow). I am currently a producer/reporter at TVB Pearl - Hong Kong’s local English broadcaster. I have produced 25 minute documentaries on topics that include hospice care provision in Hong Kong, the role of women in Chinese society and the lack of speech therapy provision in the city. I also report, write, and present daily newscasts (including live broadcasts) for the main 7.30pm newscast.

I studied modern history and politics at Oxford University and have a Masters degree in journalism from the University of Hong Kong.

There have been far too many “I’s” in this introduction, so why don’t you tell me about you? Everybody has a story, what’s yours?

If you would like to get in touch with story ideas, work projects, or just fancy saying hello, please email: [email protected]. I shall try to get back to you as soon as possible.

Phillippa
