Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
I am an adventurer, journalist and presenter. A hippy at heart, with a love for travel, meditation, health and wellbeing. I am a firm believer that connecting with people and the great outdoors is good for the soul. I seek to tell stories with heart.
I studied History and Politics at Oxford University and subsequently worked in Asia for five years as an anchor and reporter in Hong Kong and Malaysia. I reported on the Malaysian election and produced political and travel multimedia stories for The Telegraph, BBC, CNN and South China Morning Post, amongst others.
In 2013, I cycled home from Malaysia to London and started working as Red Bull's Adventure Editor. I covered 10,000 miles and 26 countries in a year on my bike (yes, my arse was sore). In 2016 my adventures took me on a 3,000 mile cycle, boat and plane journey exploring Brazil and Peru to raise awareness of the environmental issues in the region. From the mouth of the Amazon River in the Atlantic, finishing in Lima at the Pacific, I documented the deforestation of the Amazon rainforest with adventurer Reza Pakravan and its devastating effect on the indigenous communities. 'Transamazonica' is a six-part series to be released in 2017/2018.
In February 2018 I am teaming up with fellow adventurers Laura Bingham and Ness Knight to take on a world first – paddling the entire length of The Essequibo, South America's third largest river, from source to sea. A highly under-explored part of the world, the journey will start in the Acarai Mountains in Southern Guyana. The river flows for 1,014km through remote jungle, untouched virgin rainforest, unknown rapids, contentious gold mining camps until it meets the Atlantic Ocean. Follow the journey here: Running the Essequibo.
I currently live and work in London. I am usually plotting an escape...
I eat bugs and tell stories - not necessarily in that order.
Want to see my work? You can find some of it on: Red Bull, CNN, BBC, Forbes, Al Jazeera, ABC News, The South China Morning Post, The Telegraph, The Jakarta Globe, Time Out etc.
Travel, fitness and the great outdoors – key ingredients to put a smile on my face. I think being outside and connecting with people is good for the soul.
I'm also a trained swimming teacher and meditation instructor (not simultaneously). Ommm....
I produce both hard news and feature stories for TV, print, and online. I can shoot and edit video (both short form and documentary). I have live anchoring and reporting experience and can handle creepy crawlies as well as business news.
Enough about me, let’s talk about you. Everybody has a story, what’s yours?
